

Activision was founded in 1979 and is one of the 3 largest manufacturers – publishers in the videogames field, with impressive titles covering all ages.
· 1997 Acquires the international rights for the software of Id, “Quake II” and the rights of Raven Software.
· 1998 Signs an agreement with Marvel (X-Men, Spiderman).
· 1998 Starts together with Lucas Arts, the exclusive publishing and distribution in UK and other 45 countries, while it also
signs an agreement with Disney Interactive and the well-known Tony Hawk.
· 1998 The collaboration with Marvel is extended, acquiring the rights for "X-Men & Blade".
· 2000 Acquires the rights for the development of the legendary FPS, Wolfestein, from Id Software while at the same time it
decides on the development of titles and consoles of next generation.
· 2001 Acquires the rights from Columbia Pictures of the movie "Spiderman".
· 2006 Acquires exclusive rights for Red Octane, creator of the best seller "Guitar Hero".
· 2007 Acquires the rights of James Bond.
· 2007 It merges with the company Vivendi creating the colossus "Activision Blizzard".
