Carrera combines tradition with the latest technology. Electronic electric highways come out in different designs, sizes and with many special cars!
In 1963, Josef Neuhierl together with his son Hermann created the “Carrera Universal”, the first electronic 1:32 scale Carrera. In 1969, the “124 Carrera”, created further sensation on the market, with the largest scale of cars. Then, as now, Carrera had all the elements for success: excellent quality level, a large range of accessories and a steady flow of innovative products. All products have a license (Subaru Impreza, Formula 1, WRC, etc.) and are connected to action, entertainment and motor sports. In the decades of 1970 and 1980, Carrera made great advances, with many modern and historical vehicles which were added to the series. Unfortunately, in 1985, its great success was shadowed by the tragic death of Dr. Hermann Neuhierl. Thus, Stadlbauer Group from Salzburg, Austria, (which was responsible for the Carrera distribution in Austria since the beginning of 1970) took over the family business in 1999. With its unique combination of tradition and innovative products and the use of high technology, Carrera started on a new path towards success, with constant growth internationally. For Carrera, safety and quality have always been extremely important. This is the reason that the company is closely collaborating with the state Commercial Organization (Landesgewerbeanstalt) in Nuremberg, in order to maintain continuous control of all the products, as required to ensure that safety standards are maintained.
