The Maisto Company, based in California and Hong Kong, manufactures models of cars, airplanes and various Tonka products, which are based on real vehicles. The main feature of the Maisto products is that all models are exact replicas of the real-life ones, while at the same time it has a license for their manufacture. Its products are manufactured in China and Thailand. Its models offer a high level of detail, in contrast to other manufacturers. However, the main reason for which Maisto is so popular on the market, is the very high quality of its products in combination with low prices, while it creates models which are known all over the world.
In 2007 it established new premises outside Paris, which operate as a sales office. Also, it has exhibitions in Hong Kong and Nuremberg.
