29/5/2008 - ACQUISITION OF 45% MARM LIGHTING LIMITED
In the framework of the development of DIONIC Group in other additional areas, and wanting to expand its activities in electricity saving, the company proceeded to the acquisition of 45% of the MARM LIGHTING LIMITED Company, based in Cyprus. The acquisition was realized through the affiliated DIONIC PARTICIPATION LTD Company, at the amount of € 590,000.
With this acquisition the Group will operate in the production and trading of electronic ballasts for T8, T5 and PL fluorescent lighting devices, which provide significant save in electricity, in direct contrast to both magnetic and other electronic ballasts that are available on the market. The company has taken all the requisite actions for the certification of electronic ballasts. Through MARM LIGHTING LIMITED, it will also operate in the trading of lighting devices and energy efficiency bulbs with its own consolidated Brand GNL.
These activities focus on an international level, targeting the penetration of new developing markets, the increase of the group’s profitability and the broadening of the range of products and services provided.
DIONIC Group enters with its own products the International Market of electronic BALLASTS for fluorescent lighting devices.
